Lily hasn't always had it easy, but that's never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She's come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up - she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily's life suddenly seems almost too good to be true. Ryle is assertive, stubborn, and maybe even a little arrogant. He's also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily, but Ryle's complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan - her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.

Upcoming Releases: January 2017

upcoming releases january 2017
If I thought december was a bit unimpressive when it came to book releases, January more than makes up for it. A lot of these books have been on my tbr for ages, and now they are finally here! I am incredibly excited for Caraval and Windwitch, and also Carve The Mark seems interesting. And then there are Under The Rose-Tainted Skies and History Is All You Left Me, that really don't look like your average young adult contemporary. They might be the kind of reads that can change the way your look upon world. I really hope they won't disappoint.

Seventeen-year-old Ruby is a fireblood who must hide her powers of heat and flame from the cruel frostblood ruling class that wants to destroy all that are left of her kind. So when her mother is killed for protecting her and rebel frostbloods demand her help to kill their rampaging king, she agrees. But Ruby's powers are unpredictable, and she's not sure she's willing to let the rebels and an infuriating (yet irresistible) young man called Arcus use her as their weapon. All she wants is revenge, but before they can take action, Ruby is captured and forced to take part in the king's tournaments that pit fireblood prisoners against frostblood champions. Now she has only one chance to destroy the maniacal ruler who has taken everything from her and from the icy young man she has come to love.

Friday Finds #10

Friday Finds
Friday Finds is a meme that features the books you 'found' and added to your To Be Read (TBR) list.
Whether you found them online, in a bookstore, in the library - or wherever!
Hosted by A Daily Rhythm.

It feels like it's been ages since I've last done a Friday Finds post. Which does not mean that I haven't added any books to my ever-growing tbr. On the contrary. I can't possibly include ALL the books I've added in the last months, but I will share the latest ones. Clicking the cover will bring you straight to the book's goodreads page. See anything you like? Feel free to share more reading material in the comments, I'm always looking for new books, even if I can't possibly keep up with my own list.

Leviathan wakes The inexplicable logic of my life Wintersong Radio Silence Salt To The Sea

Flashfall Every Falling Star Gilded Cage Empress Of A Thousand skies Long May She Reign

Some of these have been around a long time and I somehow failed to pick up on them, others have yet to be released, but in either case I seriously can't wait to dive in!
