All These Lives 2.0

Brand new layout, new address, new title and same old me.

Those of you who have visited my blog over the past week may have noticed that there were quite a lot of changes. And then those changes changed, only to change again a few days later because I couldn't make up my mind. But now it's time to present you All These Lives 2.0.

It's taken me hours of daylight and hours of sleep to get everything exactly (or at least mostly) the way I wanted it. Blogger downright sucks when it comes to layout, since there are so very few options and templates available. But I'm glad to say that I've improved my status of html-dummy to not-so-very-dummy anymore. I spent hours on things that other people could have fixed in 5 minutes, but I don't care. I did it and I'm a more than a little proud of myself. The hardest things to do/find were probably the things you won't even notice. E.g. fixing blurry thumbnails in the comment/popular posts sections. That really was a bitch. But - all solved. Yay. And I've learned a lot. Next time it'll definitely go a lot faster! My main layout-goal was to get a 'clean' look and.. I think that worked out?

I've also decided to change my blog's name. I had been unhappy with All These Lives I Live for a while because it was too long and didn't look/sound right. So - shorter! If anything, it's easier to remember. Maybe you don't think it sounds very bookish, but it actually is. It's based on a quote by George R.R. Martin. I've always liked it a lot and I really couldn't come up with anything literally 'bookish' that was original - or available.

Finally deciding on a (sort of) new name, made it worth the trouble of changing my url and FINALLY joining bloglovin'. As of today you can follow me there! I'm really looking forward to getting to know what all that is about.

& All this to celebrate my blog's birthday. I'm happy to say All These Lives is turning 1 tomorrow!
